So I obviously haven’t posted anything here for a long, long time, and it hasn’t been for lack of baking and cooking on my part.
It’s been more of a lack of time.
Every time I had the chance to make something, I never had quite enough time to take pictures or document my recipes and usually, I was rushing to work before the food could even cool.
By the time I got around to having time to take a picture, everything would have already been devoured.
In other news, I did make pumpkin pie for the first time in my life (from scratch!), and tried some for the first time too. It was pretty good, if I may say so myself, though I did discover that I absolutely can’t stand the smell of cooked pumpkin.
I made apple crumble, though for some reason, I thought it tasted off, while everyone else loved it. Oh well.
What with Christmas, the disaster it wreaks on retail jobs, then a disastrous snow day which left me feeling quite terrible for the next week, and my mom’s constant mini renovations on the kitchen ( hi mom
) I haven’t had much of a desire to make anything, let alone the time, lately, but it’s a new year now, and that means more time to make and eat food!
My new years food resolution?
To finally make chocolate chip cookies that turn out well, and taste delicious.
